The protection of your data is very important to us. For this reason, we would like to explain to you how we handle your data.

I. Data processing on this website
We (or our webspace provider) collect and automatically store information in log files which are transmitted to us by your browser. These are:
• Browser type/version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL (the previously visited websites)
• Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
• Time of the server request
We cannot attribute this data to specific persons. The data will not be merged with any other sources. The data will be deleted following statistical evaluation.

II. Collection and protection of personal data
We collect personal data in accordance with the pertinent legal requirements, in particular with German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz; BDSG), and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz; TMG) and if you have provided this data to us within the framework of an order, creation of a customer account or subscription to our newsletter. We only make use of the data you have submitted to us, without your explicit consent, only for the purpose of replying to your enquiries and for the fulfilment and completion of your order. Feinkost Käfer shall not make use of customer data for advertising purposes, if you have not explicitly given consent to the further use of your data. When you subscribe to our newsletter, your e-mail address is used for advertising purposes with your consent, until you have unsubscribed from our newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time.

III. Disclosure of personal data
Your personal data shall only be disclosed to third companies, such as for example the logistics company commissioned with the delivery of the goods. For payment settlement, we disclose your data to our PCI DSS certified service provider PAYONE. After determination of the availability of the ordered goods, PAYONE will debit the respective credit card account. Your credit card information will not be stored in the Käfer Online Shop.

IV. Contacting us
When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) your data will be stored for the purpose of processing enquiries and if there are any subsequent questions.

V. Newsletter and current offering
We publish our newsletter to inform you about Käfer and its offering. In addition, as a registered subscriber, you also receive other current offers and information about advertising campaigns by Feinkost Käfer GmbH and other companies belonging to the Käfer Group. If you wish to receive the newsletter and other offers, we require your valid email address as well as information that enables us to ascertain that you are the owner of the specific e-mail address or that the owner consents to receiving the newsletter and other offers. No further data will be collected. This data shall only be used to dispatch the newsletter and current offers and shall not be disclosed to third parties. The disclosure to other companies of the Käfer Group only takes place if these companies require so in order to transmit current offers and information about advertising campaigns. When you subscribe, we save your IP address and the date of your subscription. This data is only saved to provide evidence that a third person has misused an e-mail address, and subscribed without the consent for the receipt of the newsletter. You may revoke your content to save your data, your e-mail address as well as its use to send you our newsletter and current offers at any time. You may revoke your consent via the respective link in the newsletter or by notifying us in writing (e.g. via contact form or email).

VI. Miles & More participant data
If you participate in the Miles & More programme and would like to receive a gift voucher for the miles that you have collected with your purchases, we collect and use the necessary data and transfer it to Miles & More International GmbH, Dornhofstraße 100, 63263 Neu-Isenburg, Germany.

VII. Right of access to personal data
You are entitled, by request and at no charge, to obtain information about your data stored and to request the identity of further recipients. Furthermore, you are entitled to the correction, deletion or blockage of wrong data, following completion of the purposeful execution of the contract.

VIII. Technical safety
To protect your sensitive data from third-party access, we use an SSL certificate by Verisign. With so-called SSL transmission (Secure Socket Layer), your personal data, such as name, address or credit card information is transmitted as encrypted code.

IX. The use of cookies
We use cookies in order to make a visit to our website more appealing and to enable our customers to use certain functions. Cookies are little text files that are stored on your computer. Most of the cookies we use will be deleted from the hard disk of your computer again after closing your web browser (so-called session cookies). X. Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of the Google Inc. ("Google").
